Welcome, Andante!

Thanks for being here!

The recording you’re about to hear was recorded in Berlin, November 2024. It was recorded in my apartment and mixed and mastered in Funkhaus Berlin, by my good friend and long-time producer, Jonny Zoum.

I’ve selected 3 ‘most andante’ and ‘most playlistable’ songs from this session for your consideration.

You’ll also find players for my 2024 felts session in full, and my 2023 debut album '‘Glimmers’ , and a ‘making of’ micro-documentary.

A light and playful waltz, with a touch of melancholy, nostalgia. ‘Will those dreams of days gone by come true again?’

True peace, ethereal, warm sunshine glistening on wide open pasture. This deeply-pastoral piece was named by an audience member, who remarked on hearing it, ‘I felt as if I were walking in a meadow’.

Warm, familiar, in safe surroundings, the prayer-like main theme repeats itself: ‘That feeling of how much it means when you can truly trust someone.’

Why Andante?

I’ve been a great admirer of Andante for a some time, ever since I first started exploring and composing for the felted piano genre in early 2024. At this stage in my career I really feel the right label relationship is important for me to get the word out there about my music. My dream is to work with a label who not only delivers on promotion and playlisting, but also values live performance as a key part of artistic life. Your ‘Piano Nights’ is definitely part of the inspiration for my own live performance platform here in Berlin, Felt Room.

ps: I did send ‘To Nurture’ from my first album to you way back then, and you gave me very nice feedback and encouraged me to send more music - thank you!
